Homemade Cheese Crescent Rolls!

When I first planned to even start my blog, initially I wanted to be a blog about fashion, interior design and cooking. After few months I got caught up with almost all fashion/beauty posts, that I totally forgot about everything else. This is why, I am sharing with you one of my first recipes. Something simple that you can prepare for a breakfast treat.

CHEESE CRESCENT ROLLS

prep time: 30 mins + 1 hr rise            cook time: 20 mins         total time: 1 hr  50 mins

INGREDIENTS

1/2 kg of  white all-purpose flour
salt
small white yogurt
2 spoons of oil
Sesame
2 egg yolks
Yeast

For fill
: Anything you have at home. I am usually using cheese or nutella, for a sweet treat.

DIRECTIONS
1
. In a large bowl, mix flour with salt. Dissolve the fresh yeast in the warm water with tsp of sugar, and add to the flour mixture. Add yogurt, oil  and mix everything together. Cover with a clean dish towel and let it rise for about 1 hour. I usually prepare the dough night before.

2. Divide dough into 3 equal parts. On a floured surface roll each part, using a rolling pin. Using a pastry wheel cutter cut the round into  triangles. Starting with the long end, roll each piece of dough up toward the point to form a crescent and transfer to prepared baking sheet. Brush each crescent with egg yolk and top each with small amount of sesame.

3. Preheat oven to 400F (200C) degrees. Transfer baking sheet to oven and bake until golden, up to 20 minutes. Enjoy :)
